How to find us, sights and excursion- facilities:

Access to the Park

If you are travelling from Vienna-Győr, you can reach Várgesztes Villapark on the  M1 motorway. Exit the motorway at the roadsign for Tata and drive  towards Környe (a village) for about 9 kms. In Környe turn right at the first big traffic  junction in the direction of Oroszlány. Drive left in front of the church,  cross the railway crossing, then approximately 200-300 meters later turn left at  the petrol station in the direction of Várgesztes. Drive through Vértessomló  and approximately 2 kms from the roadsign signalling the end of  the village you will have arrived at the

 Várgesztes Villapark.

If you are travelling from Budapest, exit the M1 motorway at the roadsign for  Tatabánya-Oroszlány. Drive left in the direction of Oroszlány, then drive under the  motorway towards Tatabánya. Turn right at the 2nd traffic light (Penny  Market) and drive for about 3 kms until you leave Tatabánya. Drive for  another 4 kms to Környe, and from the Környe church follow the same  directions as travellers arriving from Vienna-Győr.

The village Várgesztes is situated about 2 kilometres far from Villapark. It is a "blind- alley" village in the heart of the Vértes Mountains, there are not any traffic  routes which lead on. Its main sight is the castle which was built in the  Middle Age, and it remained in a good state of preservation. By proper  weather conditions, from the top of it, you can have a spectacular view  on the whole region.
The historical and cultural centre of this region, Tata, is located about 20 kilometres  far from here, it has a population of about 25000. The 'town of  water', with its two big lakes, several streams, old mill, medieval castle and Baroque  buildings provides plenty of sights for its tourists.
Another beautiful town is Komárom, which is located about 35 kilometres far from  here, and has a population of about 20000. It is a border town, so it offers good shopping facilities. The main tourist destination there is the Europe-famous  thermal bath which operates both in winter and summer.
We offer our guests excursions by bus (from 8 people to 72). Our destinations are:  the Danube bend, Budapest (with its main sights), and Székesfehérvár, which  are available after a one and a half hour-long journey.
